8 -STEP PROCESS
1
Cleaning
Carnival Custom Painting begins by cleaning all painted surfaces through power washing, brushing or hand cleaning. In addition, our crew applies a mildew treatment on any mold or mildew present. This process will help the new paint to bond to the existing exterior surface by removing dirt, pollutants and loose or cracking paint.
2
Wood repair
Our skilled team will replace damaged or rotting wood on the fascia, soffits, chimney and windows. They will also securely reattach loose trim pieces and siding. Peeling paint that pressure washing could not remove will be hand scraped and nail heads will be reset and filled.
3
protecting property
Painting on your brick or windows is never acceptable! Our careful professionals will make sure your landscaping, windows, masonry, fixtures, shingles and all other surrounding surfaces are protected with plastic sheeting drop cloths, tape, and paper prior to painting.
4
primer for sealing, bonding, and smoothing
Once your home is properly prepared, cleaned, and protected, all new and exposed surfaces are primed to promote adhesion of the new topcoat. This will prevent tannin bleed through on new wood and to ensure a smooth long-lasting finish.
5
caulking
Any lose caulk is properly removed and replaced on both windows and doors. We will also apply a premium latex caulk prior to exterior painting to help prevent rain water from penetrating the exterior of your home. During this time, windows can be glazed if required.
6
meticulous application
We offer several premium quality paints from Sherwin-William’s. This includes both SuperPaint and Duration. application will consist of both brush and spray, depending upon the particular surfaces being painted.
7
protocol
Rest assured, during the painting process, your home will be kept clean and well cared for by our polite, prompt, and professional team. They complete projects in an efficient and timely manner. If any remaining touch-up paint is leftover, it is properly labeled and left for your convenience.
8
inspection and follow-up
Once the project is completed, a supervisor will perform a thorough inspection and will invite you to review it to ensure you are completely and totally satisfied. If any touch-ups are required, our experts will handle it immediately!
